Since we are now officially a Mayflower Family, I
thought I would devote a page to information about this wonderful event
in our lives. Below, you will see a copy of the certificate I
received from the Society of Mayflower Descendants. Double click
on it to enlarge. By way of their acceptance of the documentation I
submitted, they are saying that I have proven our lineage back to the
Pilgrim, Stephen Hopkins.
The documentation consisted of as many birth, death and
marriage certificates as I could get. If I couldn't find that, I
could submit something else that showed a connection from child to
parent. The lineage goes as follows with the persons in the direct
line numbered (Those not numbered are spouses).

Of the above folks, we have a great-grandmother
who goes back to more Mayflower passengers. That is Hannah
Cobb. She is a direct descendant of John Howland his wife
Elizabeth Tilley and her father John Tilley. All three came over
on the Mayflower. So we, too, are direct descendants of the same
three Pilgrims. However, I have not "proven" this line
yet.

I am going to have a page of documentation, so that
those who wish, can copy items, like death certificates, letters from
Milbridge Town Hall, etc. for their own records. It may be a
